Terms & Conditions – Computer Repair Services

 

(1.) Introduction

 

1.1  These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern all computer repair, diagnostic, and maintenance services (“Services”) provided by the Technician (“we”, “us”, “our”) to the Customer (“you”, “your”).

 

1.2 By booking, approving, or proceeding with any repair, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

 

(2.) Booking, Diagnostics & Inspection

 

2.1 A diagnostic assessment may be required prior to repair work. Any diagnostic fees will be communicated before starting work.

 

2.2 Diagnostic findings are based on the condition of the device at the time of testing; additional or underlying faults may be discovered later.

 

2.3 If hidden issues are identified during repair, we will contact you with updated costs before continuing.

 

2.4 Declining further repair may still result in diagnostic or inspection fees.

 

(3.) Data Responsibility & Backups

 

3.1 You are solely responsible for ensuring all data is backed up prior to repair.

 

3.2 We do not guarantee the integrity, security, or retention of your data during repair.

 

3.3 We accept no liability for lost, corrupted, or inaccessible data, including documents, programmes, photos, saved games, system configurations, or user settings.

 

3.4 Backup services may be offered at additional cost but are not included unless explicitly requested.

 

(4.) Repairs Requiring Parts

 

4.1 If replacement components are required, you must cover the full cost of all parts necessary for the repair.

 

4.2 You must also cover all shipping or postage costs associated with ordering components.

 

4.3 No parts will be ordered until payment for components has been received in full.

 

4.4 Parts availability is subject to supplier stock and pricing, which may vary.

 

4.5 We cannot guarantee delivery dates for parts sourced from external suppliers.

 

(5.) Customer-Supplied Parts

 

5.1 You may supply your own parts, subject to compatibility checks.

 

5.2 We are not responsible for faults, failures, or damage caused by customer-supplied components.

 

5.3 Additional labour fees may apply for troubleshooting or testing customer-provided parts.

 

5.4 No warranty is offered on customer-supplied components.

 

(6.) Repair Limitations

 

6.1 Some issues (e.g., liquid damage, motherboard faults, severe overheating, intermittent issues) may be non-repairable or require specialist services.

 

6.2 Repair success is not guaranteed, especially in cases involving: • liquid damage • heavy corrosion • previous third-party repair attempts • damaged or missing internal components • devices with multiple faults

 

6.3 If a repair is unsuccessful, labour or diagnostic charges may still apply.

 

(7.) Timeframes

 

7.1 Estimated repair durations will be provided but are not guaranteed.

 

7.2 Delays may occur due to: • part availability • supplier delays • complexity of the issue • additional faults found during repair

 

7.3 We will notify you of significant delays wherever possible.

 

(8.) Collection, Storage & Abandoned Devices

 

8.1 You will be notified when your device is ready for collection.

 

8.2 Devices must be collected promptly.

 

8.3 A £30 storage fee will be charged for any laptop or computer left uncollected after 14 days from the notification date.

 

8.4 After 60 days without collection or communication, the device may be considered abandoned.

 

8.5 Abandoned devices may be sold, recycled, or used to recover outstanding costs, as permitted by law.

 

(9.) Liability

 

9.1 We are not liable for: • any loss or corruption of data (see Section 3), • pre-existing damage or faults, • issues caused by incompatible, faulty, or low-quality parts, • damage caused by customer interference after repair, • software issues or system corruption, • virus or malware infections discovered before or after repair.

 

9.2 Our liability is strictly limited to the cost of labour paid for the repair.

 

(10.) Warranty

 

10.1 Labour warranty (if provided) typically lasts 14–30 days depending on the repair type.

 

10.2 Warranty covers only the work carried out and does not extend to: • new failures or unrelated issues, • damage caused by drops, liquid, or mishandling, • components failing due to age or wear, • devices opened or altered after repair by anyone other than us.

 

10.3 Component warranty (if applicable) is subject to the supplier or manufacturer’s individual policy.

 

(11.) Payments

 

11.1 Payment for parts must be made in advance before ordering.

 

11.2 Labour fees must be paid upon completion unless agreed otherwise.

 

11.3 Devices will not be released until all outstanding balances are paid in full.

 

(12.) Software & Operating Systems

 

12.1 We are not responsible for software issues unrelated to the repair.

 

12.2 Operating system reinstalls may result in loss of programmes, settings, or licensing unless backed up beforehand.

 

12.3 You are responsible for providing valid software licences where required.

 

(13.) Acceptance of Terms

 

13.1 By booking a repair, delivering your device, approving a quote, or allowing work to begin, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions in full.

 

13.2 Proceeding with any part of the repair or diagnostic process constitutes full acceptance of these

 

 

Terms. Terms & Conditions – Custom-Built Gaming PCs

 

(1.) Introduction

 

1.1 These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern all sales of custom-built gaming PCs (“Products”) provided by the Builder (“we”, “us”, “our”) to the Customer (“you”, “your”).

 

1.2 By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

 

(2.) Order Process

 

2.1 A detailed quotation will be provided based on your chosen specifications, including component options, labour fees, and any additional services.

 

2.2 No components will be reserved, ordered, or purchased until full payment for all selected parts has been received.

 

2.3 Quotes are valid for 7–14 days (unless otherwise stated). Prices of components may vary and will be updated accordingly if your quote expires.

 

(3.) Payment Terms

 

3.1 Full payment for all parts is required upfront before any components are ordered.

 

3.2 Payment methods will be outlined on your invoice (e.g., bank transfer, PayPal, card, etc.).

 

3.3 Orders will not proceed until cleared payment is received.

 

(4.) Component Options

 

4.1 You may choose from: • Brand-new parts, sourced from authorised retailers or distributors. • Used or refurbished parts, available depending on stock, condition, and your budget.

 

4.2 If opting for used or refurbished components, you acknowledge and accept: • cosmetic wear may be present; • warranty coverage may be limited or unavailable; • availability may vary.

 

4.3 We will advise on part compatibility, but final component selection is your responsibility unless otherwise agreed.

 

(5.) Supplying Your Own Parts

 

5.1 You may provide your own components for the build, subject to inspection and compatibility checks.

 

5.2 You are responsible for ensuring parts are in working condition prior to delivery.

 

5.3 We are not liable for: • faults in customer-supplied parts, • damage caused by defective components, or • delays caused by incompatible or non-functional parts.

 

5.4 Any labour required to diagnose or test customer-supplied components may incur additional charges.

 

6. Build Process & Timeframes

 

6.1 Estimated build times will be provided but may vary depending on parts availability, testing requirements, and order queue.

 

6.2 We will contact you if any delays occur due to stock issues, compatibility concerns, or build complications.

 

(7.) Testing & Quality Assurance

 

7.1 All systems built with parts we supply will undergo: • stability testing, • thermals checks, • cable management review, • BIOS updates (where applicable).

 

7.2 Systems using customer-supplied parts will be tested only to the extent reasonably possible.

 

(8.) Warranty & Support

 

8.1 Warranty on components supplied by us is covered by the manufacturer or retailer, subject to their individual policies.

 

8.2 Warranty for second-hand components may be limited or unavailable unless stated otherwise.

 

8.3 Labour warranty covers assembly-related issues for a specified period (e.g., 30–90 days).

 

8.4 Warranty does not cover: • overclocking damage, • physical damage, • software corruption, • user-caused faults, • issues traced to customer-supplied parts.

 

(9.) Changes, Cancellations & Refunds

 

9.1 Orders may be modified only before parts are purchased.

 

9.2 Due to the personalized nature of custom builds, refunds for parts are subject to retailer return policies and may involve restocking fees.

 

9.3 Labour charges for work already performed are non-refundable.

 

9.4 If you cancel after parts have been ordered, refunds (if any) depend entirely on supplier policies.

 

(10.) Collection, Delivery & Risk

 

10.1 Risk transfers to you upon collection or delivery of the completed system.

 

10.2 Please inspect your PC upon handover; report any build-related concerns within 48 hours.

 

10.3 Shipping (if offered) is at your risk unless insurance is arranged.

 

(11.) Liability

 

11.1 We are not responsible for data loss, software issues, or any damage resulting from misuse, improper handling, or third-party interference.

 

11.2 Our total liability is limited to the cost of labour or components supplied by us, whichever is applicable.

 

(12.) Governing Law

 

12.1 These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the applicable jurisdiction.

 

Terms and Conditions for Selling Used Computer Components on Behalf of Clients

 

(1.) Introduction

 

1.1 These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") outline the rights, responsibilities, and obligations between the Service Provider ("I", "me", or "the Seller") and the Client ("you") regarding the sale of used computer components on your behalf. By engaging my services, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.

 

(2.) Scope of Service

 

2.1 I act as an intermediary to evaluate, list, market, and sell used computer components provided by the Client.

 

2.2 I do not manufacture or certify any components and rely solely on the Client’s representation of their condition unless stated otherwise after testing.

 

2.3 The service includes: • Inspection and basic functionality testing (where possible) • Price evaluation and market research • Listing items on chosen marketplaces • Handling buyer enquiries • Packaging and shipping (if applicable) • Collection or drop-off coordination

 

(3.) Client Responsibilities

 

3.1 You confirm that you are the legal owner of all components provided and that they are not stolen, counterfeit, or otherwise unlawfully obtained.

 

3.2 You are responsible for disclosing any known defects, issues, or modifications to the components.

 

3.3 You must supply all items in a reasonably clean condition. Excessive cleaning may incur an additional fee of £20.

 

3.4 You must provide any required accessories, parts, or documentation for accurate listing, if available.

 

(4.) Condition and Testing

4.1 Components will be visually inspected and, where practical, tested for basic functionality.

 

4.2 Full stress-testing, benchmarking, or long-term stability testing is not included unless agreed to in writing.

 

4.3 I am not responsible for latent defects or failures that arise after testing or after the buyer receives the item.

 

(5.) Pricing and Listing

 

5.1 I will set pricing based on market research.

 

5.2 Prices may be adjusted to ensure a timely sale unless you request a fixed price.

 

5.3 I reserve the right to decline the listing of items deemed unsafe, damaged beyond reasonable saleability, or inappropriate for sale.

 

(6.) Fees and Payment

 

6.1 A commission fee will be deducted from the final sale price of each item. The standard commission is: • 22% of the sale price for items under £100 • 13% of the sale price for items between £100–£300 • 8% of the sale price for items over £300

 

6.2 Additional fees may apply, including but not limited to: • Marketplace listing fees • Shipping costs • Packaging materials • Payment processing fees • Optional services (detailed testing, cleaning, refurbishment)

 

6.3 All fees will be itemised and deducted from the final payout.

 

6.4 Payment to the Client will be issued within 2 working days after the buyer’s payment clears and any applicable return window has passed.

 

(7.) Returns and Refunds

 

7.1 Some marketplaces require sellers to accept returns. If a return is mandated by the platform: • I will manage the process • Any refund to the buyer will be deducted from your payout or reclaimed from you if already paid

 

7.2 If a return occurs due to undisclosed defects, you accept full responsibility for associated costs.

 

7.3 If the return is due to shipping damage and insurance was declined by you, you accept all liability.

 

(8.) Liability and Protection for the Service Provider

 

8.1 I am not responsible for component failures that occur after testing, during shipping, or during buyer use.

 

8.2 I am not liable for market depreciation, pricing changes, or buyer dissatisfaction unrelated to listing accuracy.

 

8.3 I am not responsible for any data left on storage devices. All drives should be wiped prior to handover.

 

8.4 Items are held at your risk. I will take reasonable care of your components, but I am not liable for accidental loss, theft, or damage unless caused by my direct negligence.

 

(9.) Shipping and Handling

 

9.1 Items may be shipped by me or by the marketplace’s integrated service.

 

9.2 Insurance will be purchased only if requested by the Client. Uninsured shipments are at the Client’s own risk.

 

9.3 Packaging materials will be chosen to ensure reasonable protection, but no guarantee is made against courier mishandling.

 

(10.) Unsold Items or Withdrawal

 

10.1 If an item remains unsold after 3 days, I may recommend a price adjustment.

 

10.2 You may request the return of any unsold item, provided no active sale or negotiation is in progress.

 

10.3 Returned items must be collected within 7 days. Storage beyond this period may incur a fee.

 

(11.) Termination

 

11.1 Either party may terminate this Agreement at any time with written notice, provided no live listings or ongoing buyer negotiations are affected.

 

11.2 Any outstanding fees for services already performed remain due.

 

(12.) Data Protection

 

12.1 Personal information provided by the Client will be used solely for communication, payment, and marketplace listings.

 

12.2 No personal data will be shared.

 

(13.) Governing Law

 

13.1 This Agreement is governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with UK legal standards.
